Intel International Science and Engineering Fair

Very best wishes to Lauren Murphy, 5E, who next week in Phoenix, Arizona, will represent Ireland in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair , the world’s largest schools science competition. Lauren has worked extremely hard all year on her project “An Aid for the Rehabilitation of Clenched Fist in  Multiple Sclerosis”, and we hope she has a wonderful well deserved week in the United States.

UCD Summer School for 5th Year Science

UCD Science Experience

UCD will host the 2016 UCD Summer School from the 7th- 10th June.

The Summer School is aimed at secondary school students who are just finishing 5th year, who may know what programme area they want to pursue at university, but don’t know what path to take through their degree. Students find the Summer School very useful in confirming their third-level study decisions and many of them return to study in UCD.

The students get an intensive immersion in a particular programme area or subject through lectures, practicals and group activities.  This year we are delighted that 18 programme areas/subjects are participating which includes contributions from 25 UCD schools

“Science” is taught as a one-day course on 7th June

Further information at www.ucd.ie/myucd/summerschool Early application is advised as places fill on a first come first serve basis.
