Well done to TY Physics students on their collaborative project with other European schools. They repeated the experiment of Eratosthenes , who measured the Earth’s circumference circa 240 BC, using geometry, trigonometry and a knowledge of the angles of elevation of the sun, at the same time at two different locations.
