This Ceol Loreto Gig was dedicated to two cherished past pupils Colette Dowling, class of 2006 and Miriam Keogh, class of 2007 and the proceeds will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and St Francis Hospice in their memory. The Senior Choir dedicated their performance of Wherever You Are by Paul Mealor to the past students and their families.
The Gig was a great success and featured: The School Orchestra, Dance Troupe, Recorder Consort, Ballet and Irish Dancers, Vocal duets, Classical guitar solo, Class Choirs, Junior and Senior Choir, Mr O’Brien (Vocals) accompanied by Mr Kilgarriff (Guitar), Jane Mehigan and Liz O’Hagan-Past Pupils, Solo Irish Harp, Solo piano, Eadaoin Copeland and Denise Morgan-past pupils, solo keyboard to mention a few!
The Music Captains were excellent in their organisation and presentation of every aspect of the event and they will be greatly missed as will the 19 sixth year members of the Senior Choir and the sixth year instrumentalists in the orchestra.
