Voices, Flags, and Funds Raised in Loreto Balbriggan

Last Thursday, our school theatre, Amharclann, came alive with the sights and sounds of our much-anticipated Summer Evening Gala, where a full house was treated to a dazzling showcase of music, dance, and a touch of magic. The evening was a celebration of the incredible talent and dedication of Loreto Balbriggan students. From powerful choral harmonies to energetic dance routines and enchanting musical performances, the event highlighted the vibrant artistic spirit within our school community.

Performances by the Junior and Senior Choirs, Trad Group, Waltons Group, and the dynamic Iconic Dance Crew captivated the audience throughout the evening. Each group brought something unique to the stage, reflecting hours of preparation and dedication. A special highlight of the night was a thrilling performance by our resident magician, Ella Nicholson, who entertained and wowed the crowd with her spellbinding magic, adding an extra spark of wonder to an already unforgettable evening.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our Music Captains, whose leadership, energy, and dedication played a key role in the success of the event—and indeed, in the entire musical life of the school throughout the year. We wish them the very best of luck in their upcoming exams and thank them for their outstanding commitment to music in Loreto Balbriggan.

Congratulations to all of the performers, and thank you to our enthusiastic audience for your continued support. The Summer Evening Gala was a true celebration of student creativity, talent, and teamwork—an evening to remember.

Fantastic Fundraiser for the Keeley D Foundation

We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of our recent Health Promotion Week 5K Run/Walk , held in support of the Keeley D Foundation. Thanks to the amazing enthusiasm and generosity of our school community, we raised a total of €7,615! This remarkable contribution will go directly to the Keeley D Foundation, which supports families of children and teenagers in palliative care. Your support will help bring comfort and assistance to those facing some of life’s most challenging moments—making a real and lasting impact.

The event was a true celebration of community spirit, with students, staff, families, and friends all coming together for a great cause. Whether you ran, walked, donated, or cheered from the sidelines, your involvement helped turn this event into something truly special. Thank you once again for all your support.

Gaelbhratach Committee Brings Home Another Flag

Congratulations to our fantastic Gaelbhratach committee, who proudly collected another Gaelbhratach flag in Limerick last week. It was an early start, with the group setting off from Heuston Station at 7 a.m., but the long journey was well worth it. The day was filled with fun and excitement—from VR games and Bingo Loco to team challenges and plenty of laughter.

A definite highlight of the trip was meeting Máire na Gréine, which made the celebration all the more special. We are so proud of the committee’s dedication to promoting Irish throughout the school. Maith sibh go léir!
