TY Students Wow Audiences with Magical Matilda Jr. Performance
The week before the Easter break, our Transition Year students proved they were “revolting children” in the very best way with a spectacular production of Matilda Jr. Packed audiences filled our theatre, Amharclann, each night, and every show was completely sold out—a true testament to the hard work and talent of our cast and crew.
From the moment the curtain rose on Miracle to the rousing finale of Revolting Children, the energy never dipped. The performers brought Roald Dahl’s beloved characters to life with charm and power, while the backstage teams excelled in set design, props, lighting, make-up, costume, and PR. It really was a case of “even if you’re little, you can do a lot”—and they certainly did. This production was the definition of teamwork, creativity, and passion.
A massive well done to everyone involved 👏🏻, and a heartfelt thank you to the incredible teachers who supported, guided, and inspired our students every step of the way.
