Transition year students received their Junior Certificate results in the school this Friday.  The results were excellent overall with some exceptional grades.  We are proud of each and every student who achieved her personal best.  These students, now in Transition Year, have an exciting and interesting year ahead.  Details of all that happens in Transition Year can be accessed by clicking the link below. Trócaire Game Changers

Congratulations to 5th Year students Lucy Edgeworth, Eve Mathews, Jaia Kavanagh, Molly Egan, Laura Masterson, Ellen Kearney and Willemijn Bosscheart, members of‘Trócaire Game Changers’ group who represented Trócaire and Ireland at the 13th International Conference on Game Based Learning in Odense, Denmark on Thursday. Their entry was a board game called ‘The Hunt for Human Rights’ which the students had designed and developed during TY. The girls were participating in the student section where all the other entrants were either Masters or PhD students. The game was praised for its innovation, creativity and empathy. The girls were placed 2nd overall and will receive their certificates and award in Trócaire’s headquarters in Dublin later this month.

6th Year Geography Coastal Field Study

On Tuesday 6th Year Geography students commenced work on their coastal field study. The students were investigating coastal deposition. The field study accounts for 20% of their overall LC result.

Junior Cert Results

On Friday TY students received their JC results. The results overall were excellent. The school acknowledges and is very proud of all the hard work that the students have put into their studies to achieve such wonderful success.

Transition to Secondary School

This week 1st years participated in the ‘Transition to Secondary School’ programme which focuses on making new friends becoming part of and settling in to their new school. The programme is a continuation of the orientation programme that all students took part in during their first two days.
