Return to School April 12th

After many weeks of online learning, all students will return to school on Monday the 12th of April. We look forward to welcoming back everyone. We have missed their voices, laughter and energy around the school. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, we would ask that all students complete the ‘Return to School Form’  that has been sent by email to parents and guardians prior to their return. All safety procedures that were in place before Christmas still apply.

In our Art Space 5th Year Art students have created a beautiful mural inspired by the  George Harrison song ‘Here Comes The Sun’. He wrote the song to cheer himself up during a time when he was feeling low in his life. A line from the song says ‘It’s been a long cold, lonely winter’ and we have certainly had a long and lonely time during this pandemic. However, the sun returns and summer is coming. The vaccines are being delivered and soon life will get much better than it has been. The image of a smiling person in the sunshine is a symbol of positivity and the importance of keeping a sunny disposition!

Many thanks, to Niamh Ward O’Brien, Ella McCarthy, Sarah Willis, Sarah Jane McNally, Lauren Butler, Grace O’Brien, Ellie Mulhall-Walsh and Fiatha Oshodi for creating such a beautiful, uplifting piece.
