Celebrating Outstanding Results and New Beginnings

This week was a particularly special one in Loreto Balbriggan as we welcomed our newest students, the Class of 2032, while also welcoming back the Class of 2026 to celebrate their excellent Leaving Certificate results and hear where their journeys will take them next.

Our 1st Years began their secondary school journey with their Orientation Programme, giving them an opportunity to get to know their new school, meet their Form Teachers and classmates, find their way around and begin to settle into life in Loreto before starting their full classes and timetables next week.

At the other end of their Loreto journey, it was wonderful to welcome the Class of 2026 back through our doors. We were delighted to celebrate their achievements with them and to hear about the many different paths they are now taking, from university and further education to apprenticeships, gap years and the world of work.

The Class of 2026 achieved outstanding Leaving Certificate results. Five students, Cara Mullen, Cara McDonagh, Sophie McGrath, Aoife Boylan, and Juwaria Baqer, achieved the maximum 625 CAO points, while almost 30% of the year group achieved over 500 points. These exceptional results reflect the hard work, determination and commitment of our students, together with the dedication, encouragement and support of their teachers throughout their years in Loreto.

While we are delighted to celebrate these outstanding academic achievements, we are equally proud of every member of the Class of 2026 and all that they have achieved during their time with us. Each student leaves Loreto with her own story, her own achievements and her own path ahead, and we wish them all every happiness and success in the next chapter of their lives.

There was something very special about seeing the beginning and end of the secondary school journey come together in the same week: the Class of 2032 taking their first steps in Loreto while the Class of 2026 returned to share where those same steps have ultimately taken them.

We wish the Class of 2032 every happiness as they begin their journey with us and the Class of 2026 every success as they begin theirs beyond Loreto.
