Remembrance Service and Excellence in Stem

On Wednesday 26th November, our school community came together for a beautiful Remembrance Service, prepared and led by our incredible Ember Team. Together, we paused to remember loved ones who have gone before us, each name, each tag, each light a symbol of love, hope, and the gentle nearness of God. Our “Robin’s Light” tree glowed with messages of remembrance, while students offered prayers, readings, and reflections with grace and compassion.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part and to all who supported this special moment in our school calendar.

May the memories we hold continue to guide, strengthen, and comfort us.

Excellence in STEM

A huge congratulations to our 5th Year student, Ella Nicholson, who has achieved remarkable success at the SciFest National Finals. Ella was awarded an Excellence in STEM Award, an incredible accomplishment at an event showcasing 51 of the top student projects in Ireland — selected from an initial 16,000 participants nationwide. Representing our school at the National Finals in the Marino Institute of Education on 21st November, Ella impressed judges and attendees alike with her fascinating project: “Do We Experience Magic the Same Way? Factors Affecting Our Susceptibility to Magic Tricks.”

Her innovative and engaging research previously earned her the Runner-Up Award at SciFest@Grangegorman, securing her place among Ireland’s best young scientists at the National Finals. Well done Ella!
