Christmas Jumper Day

On Friday we held our annual St Vincent de Paul collection. Both staff and students got into the Christmas spirit by wearing their Christmas jumpers to school. Members of the student council collected at the school gates while others sold chocolate and raffle tickets and candy canes to raise as much as possible for the charity. The junior choir added to the festive atmosphere, singing carols while the school trad group made a special appearance at the train station cheering up commuters at the end of a busy week with their beautiful melodies. The Student Council also organised the annual Christmas classroom door decorating competition, creating fierce competition between staff to have the best decorated door. The spirit of Christmas was alive and well and all in aid of the St Vincent De Paul Society. Many thanks to the many local businesses who donated fabulous prizes for the raffle and to those who gave so generously to our collection today. All proceeds will go to the local branch of Vincent de Paul which does such fantastic work in the area.
