Regional Final Winners
The 1st year regional final between Loreto Balbriggan and Malahide’s first years was a real showcase of skill and determination. The match finished 1-1 after normal time thanks to a fine finish from Ava Moran and a fantastic effort from back to front by everyone in red in green. Extra time was a tense affair with Malahide scoring late. Step forward Zoe Caulfield who levelled proceedings with a goal from her own half to force penalties with a minute to spare. The girls dispatched their penalties with conviction to secure a hard-fought but well-deserved victory in a game that will be remembered for its intensity and competitive spirit. The team will now progress to a Leinster semi final.
